Congratulations to this Reading Rockstar! She took all the hardware home in library class this week. She is our very first student to complete a Sunshine State book and earn a brag tag, woo hoo! She also completed her summer reading logs and received an awesome goody bag, a book of her choice, and posters. Then, as if that wasn't enough, she answered a question that stumped her classmates. The answer was personification! Ms. Richardson was nearly crying tears of joy! All that in one class!

Due to the weather radar forecast and lightning, within the CCDS's 8-mile radius, we will be holding all walkers and bike riders.
Per CCDS policy, we must be clear of lightning within an 8-mile radius of Lakeside for 30 minutes before we are able to release walkers and bikers. Bus riders and car riders will be dismissed as normal. If you choose to come to the school to pick up your walker/bike rider, those students can be picked up at the media center doors that face the parking lot. Please give us a few extra minutes to get them to this location.

VPK jumped into learning and are having a blast!
They found the Gingerbread Man who got lost in school, have been using many new school tools, and learned how our bodies learn and move in awesome ways. They are enjoying new school routines and ending their day with flashlight reading and yoga.
