Our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) students are participating in community screenings at our local elementary school this week. They are demonstrating hands-on clinical skills such as vital sign checks and health assessments while engaging with younger students. This experience allows our CNA students to apply their classroom learning in a real-world setting and serve as positive role models within our community. #OneTribe

Our FBLA students had a great day at the District 27 Rally! It was an awesome kickoff to the year, and our team brought home first place in the nametag competition with a design created by Kenly Chitty. Excited for what’s ahead! Also, They all missed the pancake breakfast this morning, so they got a special treat! #OneTribe

KHHS Culinary finished celebrating Hispanic Heritage by trying a traditional Mexican soup made with spicy red chili broth and beef tripe. It is a popular and sentimental dish, often served at celebrations and holidays. Last week they tried Migas. A dish made with crispy corn tortillas, onions, garlic, jalapeños, tomatoes and scrambled eggs. The National Museum of the American Latino observes Hispanic Heritage Month between September 15 and October 15 each year. #OneTribe

Excellent visit in our classrooms today from our district instructional staff! We appreciate the work and support from OneClay! Our Chef Leach and two of her awesome Culinary students, Alex and Arianna, made a delicious breakfast for everyone, especially the grits!! #OneTribe

The last day Herff Jones will be on campus to take orders is Tuesday, October 7th during all lunches.
Juniors cn order their class rings and Seniors can order their senior package.

Ashton and Jacob compete in the Junior/High School Division of Bassmaster Nation fishing tournaments representing KHHS. They attended the Bassmaster High School Combine a few weeks ago at Decatur, AL. Only 100 anglers were accepted throughout the country to attend. They met with colleges that offer fishing scholarships. They also competed in the first tournament of the season and placed 5th! Great start to their season. #OneTribe

*This is not a school fishing team, however, these two students represent KHHS in the Bassmaster tournaments through approval from the school. This is a great opportunity for students throughout high school and it opens doors for opportunities after high school. We are glad to sign for students who qualify to participate in these competitions.
