Clay County District Schools is proud to be a community that supports our military families! 💜

April is the Month of the Military Child, and we invite all students, staff, and families to "Purple Up!" on Wednesday, April 15th.

Why purple? It’s the color that symbolizes all branches of the military coming together—a blend of Army green, Marine Corps red, and Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard blue. By wearing purple, we show our military-connected students that we appreciate their strength, sacrifices, and resilience.

Let’s turn our hallways and classrooms into a sea of purple on April 15th!

🎉 Huge congratulations to Keystone Heights Jr/Sr High School for an incredible achievement! 🎉

We are proud to celebrate two outstanding honors from the National Speech & Debate Association Florida Panther District:

🏆 Administrator of the Year – Principal Laurie Burke
🏆 Volunteer of the Year – Cristina Bagasan

Both were nominated by speech & debate coach Shannon Southam and exemplify what it means to support and uplift students in academic competition.

The Administrator of the Year Award recognizes school leaders who champion high-quality speech and debate education, fostering environments where students can grow in confidence, critical thinking, and communication. The process begins with nominations submitted by district committees, highlighting administrators who actively support speech and debate programs.

From these district honorees, one individual is selected at the national level in June 2026 as the National Administrator of the Year, representing the highest standard of educational leadership.

Cristina Bagasen’s recognition as Volunteer of the Year reflects her unwavering dedication—judging at nearly every tournament, stepping in when needed, and always putting students first.

This is what a strong speech & debate community looks like—leadership, service, and commitment to student success. 💙🗣️

Kindergarten Registration Now Open

Attention All Parents of KHHS 8th Grade Student-Athletes: Please see your email for more information and live links. 8th grade parents will need to register your student-athlete for this at KHHS.

We are excited to be hosting the opportunity to save a life at Keystone Heights Junior on 4/6/2026 from 10:00 AM - 02:00 PM.

The Second Chance Act requires student-athletes to receive an ECG to legally play sports in the 2026-2027 school year. 1 in 300 youth have a potentially life threatening heart condition that can lead to Sudden Cardiac Arrest if left untreated. Only 10% of SCA victims survive statistically, so prevention is key. These ECG screenings are offered for FREE and have the opportunity to save your child’s life. In order to register for the event, click here.

If you have any questions or would like more information before registering, visit WWPF- FAQ or email your questions to anastasia.aston@whoweplayfor.org.
