GCJ is honored to stand alongside the rest of Clay County Schools to remember and honor the lives lost in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Our campus is a beautiful sea of red, white, and blue attire today as our students and staff show their support. Inside the classroom, students also took time to reflect, partaking in a special collaborative discussion during their social studies classes to learn about the significance of this day.

Congratulations to our August GCJ Employee of the Month, Mrs. Slater! Coming to us with 30 years of experience, Mrs. Slater is new to GCJ this year and the role of ELA Support Facilitator, and she has done an absolutely amazing job getting the school year started with supporting our ESE students, teachers, and admin team. Mrs.Slater brings her "A" game every day as she works long hours to build processes that will help our ESE department run smoothly, pushing into classrooms and making sure teachers are prepared with what they need when students walk in the door. We appreciate and value her passion for student learning and success and we are so glad she joined our team here at GCJ! Congrats, Mrs. Slater!
