Bennett Bees read "Bone Soup" by Cambria Evans. Students were able to show off their mastery of figurative language. We focused on idioms and they were able to decode soup-themed idioms. #oneteamonehive
Bennett Bees have been learning how to think like an artist. Students discussed where artists get their ideas from, such as nature and the changing seasons. To explore this idea, students went on a nature walk and found leaves to use for painting. Students then painted their leaves with warm colors to create prints. #oneteamonehive
On November 3, Clay County voters will consider the renewal of the existing One Mill ad valorem funding for four years (July 1, 2027 – June 30, 2031).
Because this measure is a renewal of the existing operating millage, it continues current funding without increasing tax rates. Revenues are strictly dedicated to two operational priorities:

Employee Compensation: Providing competitive pay to retain and attract quality teachers and support staff.

Bennett Bees began an artist study of Vincent Van Gogh and his famous “Starry Night” painting. Students learned about the difference between inspiration and copying before beginning their own Starry Night paintings. Students practiced proper etiquette with paint brushes and explored color mixing to achieve a desired effect. #oneteamonehive
