📚✨ Adult Education & Family Literacy Week Highlight ✨📚
In Mrs. Wingate’s GED classroom, students took part in a powerful read-along activity featuring Jason Reynolds’ Long Way Down. With the support of the illustrated audiobook, students engaged in vocabulary and comprehension practice while also exploring literary devices such as metaphors, onomatopoeia, similes, and allusions.
The class was alive with participation—students eagerly discussed the themes and messages in the story, demonstrating both critical thinking and a love for reading.
Activities like this not only strengthen literacy skills but also create meaningful connections with powerful texts. A big thank-you to Mrs. Wingate for her creativity and dedication in making literacy come alive for her students! 💙📖

🎉📚 Celebrating Success in ESOL! 📚🎉
This week, we are celebrating students who have achieved NRS level gains in Reading and/or Listening! Today, we recognized our Tuesday/Thursday daytime students, proudly presenting them with Certificates of Achievement for their hard work and dedication. 🌟
Not all students who achieved gains were present today, and we look forward to recognizing many more students throughout the week as they post-test and continue making progress.
A special thank-you to their teachers—Mrs. Seco, Mrs. Sein, and Mrs. Beauchamp—for their continued guidance and support in helping students reach their goals.
We are also thrilled to give a big WELCOME BACK to Mrs. Sein, who returned from leave today—just in time to join in celebrating both our students’ achievements and Adult Education & Family Literacy Week. 💙
Congratulations to all our students! Your persistence and dedication continue to inspire us every day.

🌟 Student Spotlight: Jeshua E. 🌟
In celebration of Adult Education and Family Literacy Week, we are proud to highlight Jeshua, a dedicated GED student at ACE. Originally from Haiti, Jeshua has completed his GED Math requirement and has greatly improved his English through everyday conversations. He enjoys reading during class, strengthening his literacy skills while pursuing his goals.
Jeshua dreams of going to college to earn a business degree, with a special interest in entrepreneurship. When asked what he loves most about ACE, Jeshua shared: “It’s about how fast I’m going to finish my studies and how easy it is to learn.”
We celebrate not only Jeshua’s hard work and love of learning, but also the support of his teachers, Mrs. Wingate and Mrs. Garland, who continue to inspire and guide him on his journey.
Congratulations, Jeshua — we honor your success this week and always! 📚✨
