🍎 One Team. One Goal. One Clay.

We are making an impact! 💧 Our School Improvement, Professional Learning, and Assessment (SIPLA) team recently presented to Superintendent Broskie and the Cabinet to share the incredible strides our students and educators are making during the 2025-2026 school year.

From record-breaking proficiency growth to state-leading innovations, here is a look at how we are "Discovering Endless Possibilities" for every student in Clay County:

📈 Excellence in the Classroom

Our academic departments are delivering big wins for student achievement:

Elementary Math: We saw proficiency increases across every single grade level in our district-wide PM2 standings, including a massive 19% jump in Kindergarten.

Secondary Math: CCDS is the first district in Florida to develop an adaptive testing platform for Algebra 1 and Geometry.

Social Studies: Our district is currently ranked #3 in the state. Our students are significantly outperforming state averages in key subgroups, including students with disabilities (+18) and English Language Learners (+14).

Science: The team revised 18 curriculum guides into a 5E, phenomenon-based format to ensure our students stay on the cutting edge of discovery.

🎨 A Creative and Choice-Driven Community

Fine Arts: We are celebrating 104 seniors who earned the Florida Seal of Fine Arts in 2024-2025.

School Choice: Since August, we have successfully filled 158 Controlled Open Enrollment seats, helping families find the perfect fit for their children.

👩‍🏫 Empowering Our Educators

Great schools start with great teachers, and our Professional Learning team is hard at work:

Our 250+ active mentors are currently supporting 140 novice educators as they begin their teaching journeys.

Over 100 teachers have participated in Total Participation Techniques (TPT) sessions, directly impacting engagement for 2,500 students.

The Assessment and Accountability team is ensuring excellence by monitoring nearly 250,000 state and national assessments annually.

Thank you to the SIPLA team for the energy, data, and a very competitive presentation that proved we are truly One Clay!

🎶 A Night of Harmony: Celebrating our 26th Annual All-County Elementary Chorus!

Last night, the stage was set for a milestone of melody as Clay County District Schools presented our 26th Annual All-County Elementary Chorus concert. Under the masterful direction of our amazing Clay County Elementary Music Teachers, hundreds of our brightest young stars filled the air with music that touched every heart in the audience.

Our students rose to the occasion, performing a challenging repertoire that spanned from the classical beauty of Mozart’s "Alleluia Canon" to the rhythmic energy of "Thula Klizeo." They truly lived up to the evening's finale, proving that they really do "Shine Like Stars."

Highlights of the Evening:
Artistry in Motion: From the wisdom of "Three Quotes by Mark Twain" to the uplifting spirit of "If You’re Happy/Amen," our students showcased incredible talent.

Special Guest Performance: We were honored to host Alex Kirk, whose performance of the "Concertino in Eb Major" on trombone was a masterclass in musicality for our young performers.

Exceptional Accompaniment: We were privileged to have Rachel Letter Clifton as our 2026 Accompanist. Her performance provided a wonderful foundation for our students' voices and was a joy to witness.

Teachers Leading by Example: One of the most touching moments was the performance of "This is Why We Sing" by our very own Clay County Elementary Music Teachers. Seeing our educators share their own voices was a powerful reminder of the passion that fuels our arts programs every day.

To our students: Your dedication, practice, and courage on that stage were inspiring. You represented your schools and our district with such talent and grace!

To our music educators: Thank you for the countless hours of preparation and for your unwavering commitment to student success. You don't just teach music; you give our children a voice.
