Happy National School Lunch Week! 🥳 This week, we're celebrating the incredible people who fuel our students for success every single day: our amazing Food & Nutrition Services teams!
It's so much more than just what's on the tray. It's about...
🌽 Freshness & Fun: Bringing farm-to-school experiences to life with things like fresh corn on the husk at KHE, SLE, and TBE.
🍕 Innovation: Listening to students and launching exciting new favorites like the Smart Mouth Pizza at RHS!
🗣️ Student Voice: Holding focus groups at MHS to ensure our menus are what students want.
👟 Wellness: Promoting healthy habits beyond the cafeteria by supporting events like Walk & Roll to School at OVE.
🏆 Engagement: Creating fun challenges, like the Nutrition and Exercise Challenge, and celebrating the winners on Taco Day at MBE!
🎉 Community: Showing up with a smile, recognizing our dedicated staff at ROE, and joining in on school spirit days at CHS and FIH.
Our school lunch program is a hub of nutrition, creativity, and community, all thanks to our dedicated staff. Please join us in thanking our school lunch heroes this week for everything they do! ❤️

Our front office secretaries are the heartbeat of our schools, keeping everything running smoothly and welcoming families with a smile every day. 💙
The next time you see a school secretary, be sure to tell them thank you for all that they do!

This morning, we had the privilege of hosting a room filled not just with exceptional educators and employees, but with true difference makers. Our annual Kick-Off event for the Teacher of the Year and School-Related Employee of the Year nominees was a morning of pure inspiration and gratitude. We would like to give a special thank you to the Clay Education Foundation and Clay Teachers Lead for organizing such an inspiring and gratitude-filled event!
The energy was incredible as these honorees from across our district connected over breakfast, shared stories, and celebrated one another's accomplishments. It was a joy to see them receive their commemorative pins in a special ceremony and capture their proud smiles with professional headshots.
We were all deeply moved by the powerful words from Superintendent Broskie and the reigning Florida State Teacher of the Year, Mr. Mark Harrison from Union County, who reminded us of the profound and lasting legacy that one caring, dedicated adult can create in a child's life.
To every single one of our nominees: Thank you. Thank you for choosing our students, for your relentless passion, and for the countless quiet moments of kindness and support that shape the future of our community. You are the heartbeat of our schools. We are so incredibly proud to have you on our team. Please join us in celebrating these amazing individuals in the weeks to come!

October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and Unity Day is a day to stand together against bullying.
On October 22, remember to wear and share orange to send a powerful message of kindness and acceptance. Let's make our schools and community a kinder place for everyone.

A huge thank you to our cafeteria staff for preparing and serving healthy, delicious meals every single day.

At Discovery Oaks Elementary, more than 400 students and families walked or biked to school. Students were greeted by chalked sidewalks, officers from CCSO, fun music, and received safety activity booklets to reinforce safe walking and biking habits.
We encourage all students to continue traveling safely, using sidewalks, wearing helmets, and following traffic safety rules.
