🚀 SUMMER LEADERSHIP DAY 1: ELEVATING THE STUDENT EXPERIENCE!

It may be the first week of summer, but our leadership team is already in action, working hard and planning ahead for an incredible next school year! ☀️📚

Welcome to Summer Leadership Day 1! This year's theme is ELEVATE, as we aim to truly elevate the student experience. We are so incredibly proud of our dedicated administrators, educators, and staff who showed up today with focused minds and passionate hearts.

We kicked off the morning with a wonderful message from Superintendent Broskie, who shared our noteworthy accomplishments from this past year. It was the perfect way to ground us in our successes while we look ahead to a new year filled with new goals to continue elevating the student experience! 🌟

We want to extend a very special thanks to our inspiring Day 1 guest speaker, Dr. Gerardo M. Gonzalez (Professor and Dean Emeritus of the Indiana University School of Education). As a refugee from Cuba who became one of America’s most distinguished academic leaders, Dr. Gonzalez spoke beautifully about the profound, life-changing impact that educators have on a child's journey. It was an extra special honor to welcome him, as he is the proud father of our very own Julie Dover, Assistant Principal at Fleming Island Elementary (FIE)! Thank you, Dr. Gonzalez, for reminding us of the power of education and the weight of our mission.

A huge thank you to Dr. Jennifer Shepard and Jennifer Collins for organizing such a fantastic, seamless day of learning for everyone! We also want to give a special shout-out to our amazing leaders who took the time to prepare and present breakout sessions for their colleagues today. Collaborative, peer-to-peer learning is where the magic happens! 👏💡

As One Team with One Goal, we are laying the groundwork to ensure high levels of achievement, engagement, and a true sense of belonging for ALL students. We are inspired, energized, and can’t wait to keep this momentum going for Day 2 tomorrow! 💻✨
