We heard you, Clay County! 🗣️ After reviewing over 20,000 survey responses, the Clay County School Board has officially voted to keep our school start times unchanged for the 2026-2027 school year.
We want to extend a huge thank you to the parents, students, staff, and community members who shared their feedback. Your voice played a critical role in this decision, and the data showed a clear preference for maintaining our current schedules.
Secondary, Elementary, and Junior High bell times will remain exactly as they are now. For a full breakdown of the survey results and the final schedule, please visit our website:

It was an exciting evening at the monthly school board meeting tonight! First some members of the WEC Champion chorus performed a song from their upcoming show. Then Mr. Hogmire was acknowledged for completing the Principalship Program, Mrs. Coultis and Mrs. Hanley were recognized for the student artwork displayed at the meeting, and finally Mrs. Whiddon presented the School Showcase featuring all things that make WEC such an amazing school!
