Science in 1st Grade : Science safety with fun experiments! Color mixing and talking about science tools. 1st grade had fun learning about colors and how they mix to create new colors. Day one was spent asking questions and making predictions . We experimented using beakers, water and food coloring . Day two we designed our own beakers then mixed colors using watercolors . After we reviewed what we learned and how science tools help us conduct experiments safely .

Open House is September 23rd from 5:00pm-7:00pm.

Today we honored Miss Kwame Jones by wearing her favorite color, purple!

Please make sure your child knows his/her rainy day plan. It looks a little cloudy outside and rain is expected around dismissal time.

Please do not block the driveways of our neighbors during parent pick-up. This leaves them unable to come and go from their homes as needed. We appreciate your courtesy in advance, while we try to move the traffic along as quickly as possible.

Ms. Gerra's third graders read the book One Word for Kids by Jon Gordon. They each chose their one word to inspire them to be the best version of themselves this school year. They then decorated 'word cards' to hang in the classroom and made friendship bracelets as a reminder that they are kind, strong, unique, talented, smart, friendly, confident, powerful, fast, helpful, and so much more!
