🏛️ FROM THE CLASSROOM TO THE COLISEUM! 🏛️
The spirit of the ancients came alive this week during our annual 6th Grade Greek Olympics last Friday! After diving deep into ancient civilizations in World History, our students traded their pens for laurels and put their knowledge to the test. ⚔️
Across all five classes, we saw:
✨ Incredible sportsmanship
⚡️ Epic "friendly" competition
🏅 New legends crowned on the field
We are so incredibly proud of the heart and determination these 6th graders displayed. Their junior high odyssey is just beginning, and we can’t wait to see them conquer whatever comes next! 🚀

Tomorrow, Coach Vann is hosting the Shamrock Shuffle during your student's resource time! We want to see a sea of green out there, so make sure your students:
Rock the Green: Wear your favorite shamrock shades! ☘️
Lace ‘Em Up: Wear comfortable running shoes to keep those feet moving. 👟
Stay Hydrated: It’s going to be a warm one! Please send your student with a full bottle of water to keep them fueled and feeling great. 💧
Let’s make this the best shuffle yet! 💚

Things are getting cell-ebratory in Mrs. Creswell’s 6th grade science classes! 🧬🔬 Our students turned into biological architects on Friday, swapping textbooks for craft supplies to build 3D cell models. From mitochondria (the powerhouse of the classroom!) to nucleus "command centers," these scientists are seeing biology in a whole new dimension.
Who knew learning about organelles could look this good?

Just a friendly reminder that Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend! Most people find it easiest to set their clocks ahead one hour on Saturday night before heading to bed—that way, you’re all set for Sunday morning! 🛌✨
While we all adjust to losing that hour of sleep, we’re definitely looking forward to those longer, sunnier afternoons for our students' after-school sports and activities! ☀️
We can’t wait to see all our students arriving safely and right on time this Monday morning to kick off another great week of learning. 🎒✨

Our Manatees Shined at the District Board Meeting! 🎶🎨
We are so incredibly proud of our talented students who represented our school at the Clay County District School Board meeting yesterday evening.
In the Spotlight: Mrs. Lotze’s Chorus moved the room with two beautiful performances.
On Display: Mrs. Bramlitt’s Art students showcased their stunning projects on the back wall for all to admire.
A huge THANK YOU to the Manatee families who showed up to support these young artists and performers. Your presence makes all the difference! 💙
