The Kiefer Foundation has selected Clay Virtual Academy as a recipient of the Just Drive Simulator Award. This award reflects CVA's commitment to ensuring young drivers understand the importance of staying focused behind the wheel. A special thanks to teacher Steve Hermes for applying for this award.

Congratulation to CVA student, Nicholas as he participated in the State Special Olympics Swim Meet. He now has two State Champion swimming titles, winning gold in both of his events. He swam the backstroke portion of the 200 Medley Relay, helping his team earn 1st place. He also won 1st place in the 50-Meter Freestyle with a PR time.

CVA student, Nicholas, recently competed in the Regional Special Olympics on August 8, 2025, at the Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training (FAST) facility in Ocala, FL. He proudly represented the CVA Vipers, Orange Park High School, and Clay County.
Nicholas competed in the 100 Yard Individual Medley, the 50 Yard Freestyle, and the Backstroke leg of the 200 Medley Relay, bringing home Gold in all three events. His outstanding performance earned him the title of Regional Champion.
Nicholas' sportsmanship was widely praised by Special Olympics coaches, officials, parents, and fellow swimmers, who all greatly appreciated his positive attitude and valuable contribution to the team. His dedication and teamwork was truly remarkable throughout the competition.
He is now awaiting the opportunity to attend the state meet in Sebastian, Florida, on September 26-28, 2025. Nicholas' involvement in this event was a fantastic representation of the CVA Vipers, OPHS, and Clay County.
