Congratulations to our Grumpy's Teacher of the Week, Mrs. Kerri Looney!

Mrs. Looney was nominated by three of her colleagues, who praised her incredible dedication, positive energy, and leadership. As reading department head, she handles her own classes while stepping up to support long-term subs, guiding her team, and tackling new curriculum this year. On top of her work in the classroom, she serves as a class sponsor and sets up the tailgate for every game, always doing it all with a warm, helpful attitude.

Thank you, Mrs. Looney, for going above and beyond for our school family!

And as always, a special thank you to our Alumni Sponsor, Grumpy's for their continued support in recognizing our outstanding educators.

❤️🤍💙 9/11 Heroes’ Day | National Day of Remembrance 🕊️

Today, September 11th, Clay County District Schools pauses to honor the lives lost, the courageous first responders who rushed toward danger, and the countless heroes whose bravery shone on one of our nation’s darkest days.

On this National Day of Remembrance, our students and staff reflect on the selflessness, unity, and resilience that defined our country following September 11, 2001. Through meaningful classroom reflection and age-appropriate civics lessons, we ensure that the legacy of these heroes inspires the next generation.

Today, we invite our Clay County community to join us in taking a moment of quiet reflection to honor those we lost and thank the local heroes who keep us safe every day.

We will never forget. ❤️
