We were so excited to see our Colts this morning! They did a wonderful job coming into school and making their way to class.
At the beginning of each school year, we have an increase in car ridership since families want to drive their students to school the first few mornings. In addition, we have new families joining us as we continue to grow. Everyone’s safety is our top priority. Please follow the directions of our staff. We will get you where you need to go.
During the first week of school, arrival and dismissal will take longer than normal. We take special care to make sure our students unload and get into school safely. In the afternoons, we check multiple times to make sure students are taking the correct form of transportation (bus, car, walker, etc.). Please make sure your child’s teacher knows how they are getting home and submit all changes in transportation in writing to cge-frontoffice@myoneclay.net. Please be patient with our staff and our other families. We are working carefully to ensure students get home safely and the correct way.
I want to share a brief update on the ongoing issue with the Chipmunk app. We know these disruptions have created challenges for families. I want to reassure you that this is not unique to Clay County; other districts that utilize the app are experiencing the same issues.
Our Transportation Department has voiced our concerns directly to the vendor and is actively working with them to resolve the problem. As part of those efforts, the Bus Planner system will undergo a full reset tonight at 6:30 p.m. and is expected to resolve the issue.
We look forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow!

As we gear up for a great school year, here’s a quick reminder of our Dress Code to help all students come prepared and ready to learn:
✅ Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be no shorter than mid-thigh—this includes rips or holes in jeans.
✅ Shirts worn with leggings or bike shorts must be long enough to fully cover the bottom.
✅ Shoulders must be covered—the three-finger strap rule applies.
✅ No hats or hoodies in common areas (hallways, cafeteria, arrival/dismissal). Teachers may allow them in classrooms at their discretion.
✅ No pajama bottoms, except on special dress-up or spirit days.
Let’s work together to keep things respectful, comfortable, and focused on learning. Thanks for your support! 💙 #CSAColts #DressForSuccess #BackToSchoolReady

This new system will help us accurately identify students who need transportation and support the development of more efficient bus routes as our county continues to grow. We understand that transitioning to new systems, including a new app, may require some adjustments. However, your cooperation is essential in ensuring we continue to provide safe and reliable transportation for all students. During this transition, please note that if your child is moving to a new school, has changed their address, or is enrolled in a Summer School Program, registration will not be available until the third week of July.
Please also be aware that students who live within 2 miles of their zoned school are not eligible for bus transportation unless a district-approved hazard has been identified. Florida Statutes and Rules: 6A-3, 1006.23, and 1011.68.
If you believe your child qualifies for a hazard exemption, please complete the necessary form at sdcc.mybusplanner.com.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the Clay County District Schools Transportation Department by emailing routing@myoneclay.net or calling 904-336-0001, option 2.
Thank you for supporting student transportation!
Register today to ensure a smooth start to the new school year!
