The state conference and competition may be the most exciting event of the TSA school year. Thousands of students arrive in Orlando near the end of February with the goal of a first place in their TSA events. Students compete over three days, and the culmination of all the hard work comes at the awards ceremony on Saturday evening.

Florida TSA

The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national organization of students engaged in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). It is a Department of Education co-curricular club that enhances a technology education program, builds confidence, provides extra-curricular and leadership skills for students, and adds an exciting dimension to the classroom.

History

The Technology Student Association (TSA), formerly the American Industrial Arts Student Association (AIASA), is the oldest student membership organization dedicated exclusively to students enrolled in technology and engineering education classes in middle and high schools. Its rich history spans more than four decades.

From 1958 to 1978, AIASA was a sponsored activity of the American Industrial Arts Association (AIAA). In 1978, the nonprofit corporation, AIASA, Inc., was formed to oversee AIASA as a separate organization. From 1978 to 1988, the organization grew in size, strength, structure, and impact on students and secondary school programs. In the summer of 1988, AIASA became the Technology Student Association.

2025

Congratulations Lake Asbury Junior High and Middleburg High School TSA! Both chapters did well at the TSA National Conference and Competitions. Lake Asbury Junior High placed 4th in Electrical Applications and their team was a Semi-Finalist for Junior Solar Sprint The students competed against other students in the USA, America Somalia, Germany, Korea, and Turkey.

2024

Lake Asbury TSA for receiving First Place National Championship in Career Prep and for placing 5th in the Nation for Inventions & Innovations and 6th in the Nation for System Control. Thank you TSA members Chandani Armogan, Bobby Baggett, Jayna Lauer, Timothy McKeeham and Greyson Tompkins for an outstanding job representing Lake Asbury Junior High in Kentucky for the National TSA Conference and Competitions.
