Ram’s Gambit Chess Club

This is a new initiative that integrates the game of chess into our S.T.R.E.A.M. curriculum. This program will provide students with a unique opportunity to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills through the game of chess. Over the course of the school year, students will participate in weekly chess sessions that are designed to enhance their understanding of S.T.E.M. concepts while also promoting cognitive development and academic achievement. (Grades 4-6)

STREAM ROVER Book Club

ROVER Book Club is an innovative program that blends literature with hands-on S.T.R.E.A.M. activities. The club will meet weekly, engaging students in reading and discussion sessions paired with creative projects that reinforce S.T.R.E.A.M. concepts. Activities will include designing a rover, coding music, engineering an electric drone, excavating fossils, and planning a Mars survival plan. (Grades 3-6)

Track

District track meet occurs in February or March each year. In November scholars try out for track. Selected scholars train and practice during run/walk and compete in the district meet.

Safety Patrol

Scholars are assigned a daily safety post and bi-weekly check-in with Mrs.Yost. Club meetings are once a month, the date/time depends on activities such as guest speakers, supporting school activities, and community projects.

RAMbotics

Parent permission form

RAMbotics team uses STEM for hands-on learning through FIRST LEGO League. Scholars will engage in research, problem-solving, coding and engineering, as well as building and programming a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. Our team will participate in a research project to identify and solve a relevant real-world problem. (Grades 4-6)

Art Club is an opportunity for our students to continue to develop and hone their art skills. Many of the works created during Art Club are submitted to competitions and displayed in and around the community.

Leadership Club

The LAE Leadership club is made of selected fifth and sixth grade scholars who show an interest in being leaders of tomorrow. The Leadership Club helps in various ways around the school, twice monthly, beginning in January.
