Degrees and Certifications:
Principal Kristin Rousseau
Welcome to Oakleaf Junior High School! I am extremely honored to be your principal, and I look forward each day to growing, learning and celebrating the many exciting accomplishments of our Yellow Jacket community!
Prior to joining the staff at OLJH, I taught English and Social Studies at the secondary level. I served as an assistant principal for 11 years and this is my 5th year as a middle school principal. I have worked many years in the area of curriculum and instruction and have a passion for learning. Before moving to the Clay community, my experience was in Louisiana and in Michigan. I am beyond excited to live in the Sunshine State and to work in the Oakleaf Community.
The staff and students of OLJH are dedicated to academic excellence and our school provides a wide variety of interesting programming and extracurricular opportunities. We work to ensure that our students thrive and are enthusiastic about learning. At the OLJH, our vision is to prepare our young people for the workplace of tomorrow. We are committed to providing a safe, premier learning environment and to build positive relationships with the children in our care.
We need you! Our parents and community members are invited and encouraged to partner with us to give our students every opportunity for a successful educational experience. At OLJH, we know that our students are tomorrow’s leaders. Together we will inspire, challenge and help our students to create their pathway to success!
Please do not hesitate to reach out with thoughts or suggestions for a strong school community. We welcome your ideas and your support so that our students continue to have amazing opportunities.
I look forward to the school year of learning, growing, with our Yellow Jacket family, and I am privileged to be a part of the premier Oakleaf Community!
