Hello and welcome to Middleburg High School! I see the educational experience of Bronco students through the dual lenses of a parent of three children who attend Clay County Public Schools and an educator whose career spans more than two decades.
Prior to joining Bronco Nation, I was a history teacher at Ed White High School and Fleming Island High School where I had the honor to serve under three incredible principals whose love of education in general- and students and teachers in particular- served as models for me. I was honored to be recognized by each of those schools as a Teacher of the Year and earned the distinction of being certified by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards- a rare and difficult-to-attain achievement. I am even more proud of being many times selected by student bodies and/or senior classes as the Most Influential Educator in their lives. Additionally, I served as a soccer, football, baseball, softball, and flag football coach, including being part of state championship teams.
Middleburg High School’s commitment to you is to keep our focus on teaching and learning. You can help us by making sure students arrive to school on time, each day. Our school day begins at 7:20am and the correlation between attendance and success cannot be overstated. Please make all efforts to schedule any student appointments before or after school hours to ensure that your child receives a full day's instruction.
Middleburg High enjoys a reputation as a family atmosphere with respectful, courteous students. We take great pride in providing a safe, clean environment with the highest academic expectations and are experts in preparing students for college and/or careers.
It is important to keep the lines of communication open with your child’s teacher. She/he will always be your first contact for any questions or concerns you may have. Parents and teachers working together will increase your child’s success, while also serving as a great model for students as to how to work effectively as a team. If there is a matter that requires administrative attention, please email their grade-level administrator, which is the best way to reach an administrator and receive the promptest feedback. Those email addresses can be located on the school directory. Mine is email@example.com
I look forward to helping every Bronco student develop, grow, and prepare themselves to become the best versions of themselves and thank you in advance, knowing firsthand as a parent, the challenges you face every day. Bronco Up!
Respectfully yours in education,
