Dear Parents, Guardians and Community Members,
Hello and welcome to Orange Park Elementary School (OPE). I am very excited to be leading this tremendous school with such a dynamic staff, stellar faculty, the best ever students and some pretty awesome parents/families as well. What an incredible honor it is to serve here! .
We are located in the heart of Orange Park, we are 90 years old this year, and our surrounding community is the best. We are part of the Clay County School District. OPE serves children in grades K-6, we offer a full academic program that is accelerated at every grade level, four resources (art, media, music and physical education), we have chromebooks in every classroom and we serve approximately 500 children. Students are challenged and rewarded every day in this rich learning environment.
Families are very important to our success. Parents are welcome additions, and you will often see parents in classrooms engaged in meaningful work to enhance the education students are receiving. We require all parents to volunteer at least 9 hours a year. Our families, and their hands-on involvement, are an incredible part of our year after year success.
My personal background involves graduating from Orange Park High School many years ago, leaving Orange Park only to go to college and returning to Clay County to begin my teaching/Education career. I am married with four grown children that graduated from Clay County Schools and two perfect (☺) grandchildren. My door is always open. Stop by anytime to visit, to share a great story or a concern, and to talk about one or many of the great things happening here at Orange Park Elementary.
All Good Things,
