This document, entitled "Reflection on the First Six Months," is a deep analysis of the District and was performed in partnership with my transition team. The transition team conducted a thorough examination of the District in a way that I, by myself, could never have done in this short period. Their expertise, experiences, and ability to understand the work has been instrumental in collecting thoughtful feedback, observations, and key findings that best represent the status of Clay County District Schools. This report reflects information obtained by engaging all stakeholders, including parents/caregivers, teachers, support staff, community members, business organizations, faith-based partners, civic leaders, and school administrators. Their contributions are threaded throughout this document and will be used to develop Clay County District Schools’ strategic plan in the months to come.
I am proud of the work that we have accomplished together over the past six months, and I look forward to next year, where collectively we will continue to move Clay County District Schools from "good" to "great" and become an "A" school district.
