Exceptional Student Education
The Exceptional Student Education Department is committed to serving the educational needs of all students.
ESE Curriculum Specialists act as program specialists in their assigned areas and serve as liaisons between the district office and the schools.
SEDNET: The Severely Emotionally Disturbed Network (SEDNET) offers services and resources to students with emotional problems and acts as a liaison with agencies outside the school districts serving students in Clay, Duval, Baker, Nassau and St. Johns Counties. ESE Staffing Specialists help facilitate the IEP process at the school level by reviewing documents and procedures to ensure better services to students and their families and to ensure compliance with state and local laws.
